Ashoka Buildcon bags ₹443-cr railway contract

Ashoka Buildcon, in a joint venture, has secured a contract from Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) involving an investment of ₹443 crore. The project in Punjab involves doubling of a railway track between Kakrala Halt and Hadiaya in Ambala Division of Northern Railway and is scheduled to be commissioned in three years, said official sources. The the company is a lead member in the JV named as ABL-STS JV and has already secured a Letter of Award from (RVNL) for the project. Among others, the project also covers construction of roadbeds, minor bridges, supply of ballast, installation of tracks, electrical work, signaling and telecommunication.
