Arunachal Pradesh expedites East-West Highway Corridor

Arunachal pradesh Highway
The Arunachal Pradesh Government is all set to start the construction of the 2-lane East-West Industrial & Highway Corridor project with the active participation of the central government. CM Pema Khandu informed that the proposed highway project, which is expected to serve as an industrial corridor for the state, will be built along the foothills of the state from Bhairabkunda in the West Kameng district, at the tri-junction of Bhutan, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam to Ruksin, in the East Siang district. The project envisages the transformation of a vast area of the state to boost its industrial and economic development and is crucial for the larger interest of the state. Since it is vast geographically, people have to travel from east to west via Assam and once the corridor is ready, they will not have to make a detour via Assam to reach their destination.
