AP takes a cue from Nagpur Metro Project

In an attempt to build world-class metro network, the Andhra Pradesh government has decided to adopt some of the best practices of city's Metro Rail Project. In view of this, the AP minister for urban development, P Narayana, visited the Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (NMRCL) and took details of innovative measures and approaches adopted in the execution of Metro Rail Project. The minister was also accompanied by Managing Director, Ramakrishna Reddy of Vijaywada Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. NMRCL Managing Director, Brijesh Dixit, explained to the visitors the detail about the progress, unique innovative features and cost-cutting measures adopted by NMRCL. Director (project), Mahesh Kumar and Director (finance), Sivmathan, shared technical information with Narayana and Reddy. The visitors also visited some sites of Reach-I of North-South metro line on Wardha Road and were willing to adopt measures and innovative approaches of Nagpur Metro for Vijaywada and Vishakhapattnam Metro Rail Projects that are also under construction, said an official spokesperson of the Vijaywada metro rail project.
