The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to develop three major industrial townships along the outer ring road around Amaravati, the new state capital at an investment of Rs. 17,761 crore. At a recent review meeting Chief Minister asked the officials to identify the government land and water availability to develop the industrial townships. The six-lane outer ring road, covering 87 villages in Krishna and Guntur districts will connect the major State highways, national highways and important district roads. The inner ring road will cover 30 villages in the two districts and, in the first phase, 97 km of road will be laid. In addition, concerned officials also apprised the Chief Minister of the expressway connecting Amaravati and Anantapur, which will make the capital more accessible from Rayalaseema district and surrounding areas. Apart from this, industrial parks are also planned along other major expressways.
