Ahmedabad gets seven flyovers worth ₹335-cr

Flyover Project
The state administration in Ahmedabad has decided to build seven new flyovers at an investment of ₹335 crore. Project works have already been sanctioned under the Swarnim Jayanti CM Urban Development Scheme (SJCMUDS) and the government has released 10% of the total project cost (₹33.50 crore) to start the ground work; the remaining funds will be released in a phased manner. The flyovers will be built at Vivekanandnagar, Vadaj, Pallav Crossroads, Pragatinagar Crossroads, Sattadhar Crossroads, Ghodasar and Naroda Patia Junction. Auda had recently announced that it would build 18 flyovers on the Sardar Patel Ring Road and that the work is in progress on eight of the 18 flyovers. In totality, AUDA will spend ₹1,191 crore on the 18 flyovers and ₹531 crore will be invested on construction of eight flyovers where work is currently in full swing.
