Ahmedabad-Dholera-Expressway
The 109.019 km Ahmedabad–Dholera Greenfield Expressway (NE-8), developed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, is emerging as a major connectivity corridor in Gujarat. Built at a cost of Rs 5,800 crore, the expressway links Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar districts while providing seamless access to the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) and the coastal highway network.

The project is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Ahmedabad and Dholera, supporting industrial growth, logistics efficiency and regional development. By improving connectivity to DSIR, the expressway strengthens the region’s potential as a manufacturing and investment hub.

The expressway has currently been opened to the public for testing purposes, allowing commuters to experience smoother and faster travel while final operational assessments are underway. Once fully operational, it is set to play a key role in driving economic activity and infrastructure-led growth in Gujarat.
