The Airports Authority of India has decided to build a new terminal at Leh Airport at a cost of ₹480 crore, construction of which is expected to be completed by September 2021, said chairman Guruprasad Mohapatra. The new terminal will incorporate all modern features and its design will reflect the culture and traditions of Ladakh-Leh. The new terminal will give Ladakh and Leh direct connectivity to a number of cities across the country, besides, paving the way for further development in the state. Prior to this, the PM has laid the foundation stone for the Leh airport terminal and the University of Ladakh, the first-ever in the region.
