2025 Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition: Opportunities for the World, Leadership for the Future

On May 15, 2025, the 2025 Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition (CICEE) will grandly open at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center. The theme for this year's exhibition is "High-end, Intelligent, and Green — The New Generation of Construction Machinery, Emergency Equipment, Mining Equipment, and Agricultural Machinery."

Over the 4-day event, more than 1,800 companies from over 60 countries and regions will showcase more than 20,000 exhibits across 300,000 square meters, covering cutting-edge technologies and products in the entire field of construction machinery. The exhibition is expected to attract more than 300,000 visitors, with international professional buyers likely exceeding 3,000, providing an excellent platform for global construction machinery companies to showcase innovative achievements, expand international markets, and gain massive international orders.

The Changsha International Construction Machinery Exhibition is not only a platform to showcase the latest technologies and products but also a "super hub" for promoting global cooperation within the construction machinery industry.

Compared to the previous three editions, 2025 CICEE continues to maintain the largest exhibition area ever. Early statistics show that more than 20 of the world's top 50 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have confirmed their participation or signed intention agreements. These include well-known construction machinery leaders such as Caterpillar, Hitachi Construction Machinery, Volvo, Genie, Manitowoc, Lovol, SANY Heavy Industry, Zoomlion, Sunward Intelligent, CRCC, XCMG, and Doosan Bobcat, among which, 10 companies have exhibited for four consecutive editions.

Manitowoc will exhibit for the first time. The proportion of first-time exhibitors is expected to reach 52%.

As a global leader in the construction machinery industry, Caterpillar has participated in the CICEE for four consecutive editions. In previous exhibitions, Caterpillar attracted a large number of professional visitors and buyers with its advanced equipment and technology. In an interview, Caterpillar representatives stated that the exhibition provides an excellent platform for them to showcase the latest technologies and products, facilitating in-depth communication with global customers. In 2025 CICEE, Caterpillar will bring its next-generation, China IV standard construction machinery equipment, including mining and quarrying applications, mini excavators, and electric-driven wheel loaders, along with smart control technologies and low-carbon innovative power solutions.

Zoomlion, one of China's leading construction machinery enterprises, will focus on its latest achievements in green and intelligent technology at 2025 CICEE. Wang Wei, the head of Zoomlion's overseas marketing department, emphasized that CICEE has helped Zoomlion showcase innovations in high-end intelligent equipment and establish numerous important collaborations with global partners.

SANY Group, a regular participant in the exhibition, will once again bring its full range of heavy machinery products and innovative technologies to the 2025 CICEE. In an interview, senior executives from SANY Group stated that the CICEE provides an excellent platform for the company to showcase its technological innovation, while also helping SANY to continuously expand its influence in the global market. Smart Technology Defining Future Trends in Construction Machinery

As one of the top events in the global construction machinery industry, the 2025 CICEE not only attracts leading companies but also hosts numerous high-end forums, competitions, and activities, providing an excellent platform for industry professionals to communicate, collaborate, and innovate.

The 2025 CICEE will focus on global trends such as digitalization, intelligence, and sustainability. The exhibition is expected to feature 1,800 companies showcasing over 1,500 new, high-end, intelligent, and green products and technologies. The newly established "New Technology and Product Launch Conference" will concentrate on showcasing cutting-edge technologies and products in the industry, driving the accelerated transformation towards digital, intelligent, and green solutions.

In addition, the "Intelligence-driven Development Conference for High-Quality Construction Machinery Industry Chains" will invite renowned global companies, experts, and government leaders to explore how to enhance the resilience and security of construction machinery industry supply chains and promote high-end, intelligent, and green development.

During the exhibition, the China Highway Society will hold the "9th Asphalt Pavement Forum and New Technology and Achievement Show" focusing on topics such as the current state and development trends of road construction and maintenance technologies, digital transformation, and AI-enabled maintenance mode innovations. The forum will also feature multiple sub-forums on highway safety, green low-carbon materials, and intelligent construction.

Zhou Xianbiao, Secretary-General of the China Construction Machinery Society, stated that the construction machinery industry is accelerating its development towards green and intelligent solutions. Thus, the CICEE 2025 will host the "Construction Machinery New Energy, New Materials, and New Technology Development and Application Conference (CTO Summit)," focusing on cutting-edge technologies and development trends in the industry. The conference will be held from May 14 to 15 at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center, and will invite renowned domestic and international academicians, outstanding engineers, and senior industry experts to engage in high-level academic exchanges on topics such as intelligent manufacturing, new energy applications, and green low-carbon solutions.

The 2025 Changsha International Construction Machinery Exhibition will host over 100 high-end forums, competitions, and business activities. In addition to the aforementioned forums, the exhibition will also launch several events, including the "RCEP + India Procurement Conference," the "Belt and Road Infrastructure Summit," and the "Construction Machinery OEM Procurement Matchmaking Conference." Through these activities, the exhibition will build a bridge for global communication and cooperation within the construction machinery sector.

Higher Degree of Internationalization

With the "Belt and Road" plan, the CICEE has become an important bridge for communication and cooperation between Chinese and foreign construction enterprises.Over 3,000 international buyers, including contractors, builders, and rental companies from more than 60 countries, will bring substantial procurement orders, in areas such as concrete mixers, excavators, tower cranes, and mining equipment.

Changsha’s Vice Mayor Kang Zhenlin shared with the media that the exhibition’s internationalization has further improved, attracting over 3,000 overseas professional visitors from regions such as RCEP, India, Latin America, the Middle East, Austria, Spain, South Korea, Africa, and Russia. The International Business Networking Conference will provide an efficient platform for domestic and international companies to exchange and collaborate.

Li Shun, Vice Chairman of the Changsha Municipal Political Consultative Conference and Director of the Changsha Convention and Exhibition Office, emphasized the digital features of this year’s exhibition and its new concept of integrating the exhibition and the city. She pointed out that the 2025 CICEE will focus on digital transformation and smart construction, promoting the digital and green sustainable development of the industry. In terms of smart exhibitions, this year’s event extensively applies cutting-edge technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), providing exhibitors and visitors with an immersive viewing experience. The organizing committee is also actively utilizing digital technology to enhance the efficiency of the exhibition and improve service quality, offering precise market insights and efficient responses to global audiences. Additionally, the exhibition will introduce the "Emergency Equipment Industry Chain," "Mining Equipment Zone," and "Road Equipment Zone" for the first time, adopting a "Conference + Exhibition" format.

Expanding Scope of the CICEE

In 2025, the CICEE will further expand its scope with 12 indoor halls and 4 outdoor exhibition areas covering four major sectors: construction machinery, emergency equipment, mining equipment, and agricultural machinery. The newly established "Mining Equipment Area" and "Emergency Rescue Equipment Area" will fill the gap in the mining sector, contributing to the exhibition's growth.

Zhang Yongtao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the China Gold Association, informed that the "Mining Equipment Area," covering 20,000 m2, will focus on exploration, mining, intelligent mining solutions, ecological restoration, and financing exchanges. This area will include over 200 exhibitors and attract more than 30,000 visitors.

Peng Xinjian, General Manager of the Hunan Branch of China Aneng Group First Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., said that with the increasing national emphasis on emergency management and rescue capabilities, the 2025 CICEE will also highlight emergency equipment, responding to national strategies and driving the transformation and upgrading of the construction machinery industry.
