19,826 km Roads Constructed Under Bharatmala Pariyojana Till Now: Gadkari

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, has informed that under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, projects covering 26,425 km have been awarded so far, and out of this, 19,826 km have already been constructed.
The Bharatmala program is a flagship initiative aimed at enhancing road connectivity and reducing logistics costs across India. It focuses on the development of Economic Corridors, Inter-Corridors, Feeder Routes, National Corridor Efficiency Improvements, Border and International Connectivity Roads, Coastal and Port Connectivity Roads, Expressways, and residual NHDP (National Highways Development Project) works.
These efforts are set to strengthen India’s highway infrastructure, promote seamless movement of goods and people, and contribute significantly to the country's economic growth and competitiveness.
