Naidu's Infracon picks Kobelco's 10th generation excavator model
Naidu's Infracon Pvt Ltd, a Mumbai-based infrastructure development company, engaged in excavation & earthmoving jobs, has bought the world-class Hydraulic Excavator Generation 10 SK220XDLC-10 excavator manufactured by Kobelco Construction Equipment India Pvt. Ltd. (KCEI). Having used Kobelco excavator models SK210 and SK350, along with other brands, the company’s decision to equip itself with the latest model from Kobelco was a quick decision.
The key handing ceremony took place at the site of Dosti Reality in Wadala, Mumbai. “We are always happy with the working performance of Kobelco machines. This year, when we thought of upgrading our inventory, we didn’t have to think much before choosing Kobelco,” says K. Sukesh Naidu, Director, Naidu’s Infracon, who was directly involved in the selection of the excavator.
The new excavator was handed over by KCEI and Mumbai-based Suretech Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd, a dealer of Kobelco products. Giving its features, Danny D’souza, Marketing Manager, Suretech Infrastructure, said, “The SK220XDLC-10 is extremely powerful in terms of its structure, productivity and benefit to the customers. XD stands for ‘Extreme Duty’ which is built-in to withstand the toughest of conditions in India.
Kobelco Generation 10 excavator is developed along six key parameters: higher fuel economy, more reliability, better performance, greater comfort, easier maintenance, and environment friendly – all of which are most critical from the user’s perspective.
Danny D'souza affirms, “The improved SK220XDLC-10, an upgraded version of 210 with the revolutionary Hydraulics Technology - Arm Regeneration System - delivers a high-powered output and is 19% more fuel-efficient than the earlier model. Thus, the tagline ‘Power Meets Efficiency’.”
According to the manufacturer, the excavator’s material thickness has been enhanced by 15 to 50% to give more life and strength. Its reliability has been greatly improved by the design using heavier plates and more effective filtration systems. There is a new under-body cover to prevent damage to the components from stones or boulders.
K. Babu Naidu, CMD, Naidu’s Infracon, adds, “We wanted to bring higher productivity, speed and economical solutions to our clients, without compromising on safety. With the value additions to the new machine, we are confident that it will deliver as per our expectations in any challenging project where the soil and other conditions are tough.”
According to KCEI’s Associate General Manager, Sandeep Navshinde, a reliable product is one that works for a longer period and gives value for money. “We have made the machine structure of SK220 stronger than the earlier model SK210, mainly, the boom plates, arm plates, bucket and undercarriage, to increase its life. Performance-wise, SK220 delivers the highest power in its class, and in mining, excavation or earthwork, it will give maximum productivity.”
While buying equipment, a customer also looks for product specifications, service, and easy availability of spare parts, and Kobelco delivers most efficiently on all these fronts. KCEI’s strong network of 28 dealers across India, support its customers through 150 outlets, and spare parts and service stations are present at every 150 km across the country.
Danny D’souza, says, “Fuel efficiency and productivity are the two major factors driving the excavator market in India. After-sales support is also a critical area as a customer cannot afford the smallest of breakdowns in a machine. Kobelco excavators have proven their performance over the years and SK220XDLC-10 is likely to set new benchmarks in performance and productivity.”
