Komatsu, L&T and Scania display technological strengths and service capabilities
Komatsu India and Larsen & Toubro put up an impressive show to showcase their technological strengths and service capabilities and reaffirm their strong commitment to the industry. The show witnessed Komatsu, Scania and LTCEL putting up a panoramic display of 19 machines, making it one of the most comprehensive displays of Construction, Earthmoving and Road Machinery.
Larsen & Toubro launched the all-new and NextGen Komatsu PC210LC-10M0 Hydraulic Excavator, which is 20% more productive and 20% more fuel efficient vis-à-vis the PC210LC-8M0. The new machine was launched by Masaaki Kamizono, MD, Komatsu India and Arvind K. Garg, EVP & Head, L&T Construction & Mining Machinery.
The PC210LC-10M0 excavator is developed specially for the Indian market and designed to perform in the most demanding work conditions. It offers reliability, durability and versatility in a wide range of applications. It is manufactured by Komatsu India at its plant in Oragadam-Chennai, and marketed and supported by L&T through a nationwide network of dealers and service centers.
Coinciding with the occasion, L&T handed over its 50,000th machine to V.Prabhakar Reddy, Founder & Promoter, VPR Mining Infrastructure, who received the symbolic key of Komatsu PC450 Hydraulic Excavator from Arvind K Garg and Masaaki Kamizono. Several machine handing-overs were done in the course of the exhibition – the most prominent being the 6000th Komatsu PC130 machine received by Vaijnath Bhalkikar of Vijay Enterprises, Chandrapur.
Komatsu machines on display included a range of Hydraulic Excavators -- PC71, PC130, PC210-10, PC300-8, PC350-8 and PC450 made in the Chennai facility and the D85 Crawler Dozer and GD535 Motor Grader imported from Komatsu. These machines have been deployed for earthwork, land development, irrigation, blue metal quarry etc, and have set new benchmarks in the industry.
The cynosure of all eyes was the Scania NTG G440 XT Heavy Tipper with its unique modular system. It delivers higher productivity as well as customized transport solutions. Manufactured by Scania Commercial Vehicles India, it incorporates advanced Swedish technology and is marketed and serviced by L&T in India.
L&T’s range also includes Road Machinery, manufactured by L&T Construction Equipment Limited as part of the Make in India program -- L&T 9020sx Wheel Loader, L&T 1190/L&T 990HF/L&T 491 Vibratory Compactors, L&T 2490 Pneumatic Tyred Roller, Hydraulic Paver and Skid Steer Loader. The equipment incorporates world-class features and are fitted with L&T DigiEye for tracking them online. L&T launched Komatsu Genuine Grease, Komatsu G2-LI - a multipurpose grease designed for all components covering a majority of the Komatsu range of equipment. It is an extreme pressure lithium grease with excellent mechanical stability, which means that the grease maintains its consistency for long hours of service.
The L&T pavilion also displayed Recon Components such as engine and pumps, which have been refurbished at L&T Service Centres. A wide range of Komatsu genuine parts, which is the lifeline of the industry, formed part of the display inside the stall area. Special diagnostic tools, fuel patch test kit, KGO Touchscreen Kiosk were some of them. An exclusive room fitted with Excavator Simulator gave the visitors an opportunity to try out their driving skills.
For the first time, L&T introduced 2 trained lady operators in the stall to handle Hydraulic Excavators as part of its efforts to bring in gender inclusiveness. MS Dhoni, Ace Cricketer and Brand Ambassador of Gulf Oil, paid a goodwill visit to L&T stall.
