“We are continuously tapping opportunities to reduce costs for our customers; over the past three years, we have introduced more fuel-efficient and low-maintenance products which has led to a significant improvement in the Total Cost of Ownership.”
Deepak Shetty CEO & Managing Director, JCB India

JCB ecoXpert backhoe with CEV Stage IV engine

In a bid to further drive business among first- and second-time buyers, while neutralizing the impact of the rising initial cost due to the new emission norms, we have launched the JCB ecoXpert range of backhoes with CEV Stage IV engine. The new backhoe loaders are equipped with the highly fuel-efficient JCB 444 engine, which provides about 10% more fuel efficiency and a 15% reduction in maintenance costs.

Today, JCB has the largest range of Backhoe Loaders to meet the requirements of different customer segments and job applications. With the introduction of the Electronic Engine with CEV IV range, we have engineered products that deliver outstanding performance with a 74hp engine. These machines are designed to offer low initial costs, minimal maintenance expense, and trouble-free operations.

Among several other initiatives aimed at reducing maintenance costs, we have implemented a 100% increase in hydraulic oil change intervals and introduced features such as auto stop, auto idle, economy mode, and roading mode. This allows our customers to conserve more fuel and achieve an overall reduction in their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). For higher loading applications, our 4X4 range of 4WD machines delivers superior output and fuel efficiency.

Streamlining backhoe operations

The new CEV IV range JCB Backhoe loader comes with two distinctive modes: the “plus mode” enhances operation speed, while the “loading mode” optimizes performance. The new range has a spacious, comfortable cabin, with an improved seat and a new throttle that can be used effortlessly. The noise in the cabin has been reduced by 7%, providing a quieter working environment for operators. The integration of a new digital display with trip meters and digital speedometer further enhances the operator’s efficient working by offering a range of valuable information. To address operator fatigue and boost front-loading productivity, our backhoes are equipped with an easy shift gear mechanism. All these thoughtful additions streamline the backhoes’ operations and contribute to a more efficient workflow.

JCB’s ‘made in India’ machines are being exported to 130+ countries, including the most developed markets such as USA and Australia. By adhering to our One Global Quality principle, JCB India maintains superior product quality for all its customers, whether domestic or international.

Timely service and maintenance

We are also working on solutions that enable higher availability of our equipment, and are backed by timely service and maintenance. In the JCB ecoXpert range, there is an innovative Intelli-diagnostics system that enables seamless communication between our dealers’ service engineers and machines through a Bluetooth dongle and mobile devices, (which eliminates the need for a laptop). The Intelli-diagnostics system empowers service engineers with valuable information and guidance to swiftly resolve any faults.

Furthermore, our newly integrated digital display provides real-time information about the machine’s health, along with service reminders and fault codes. Our aim is to ensure minimum downtime by providing JCB’s finest service support and an extensive service network guarantee so that our machines remain fault-free.

Our newly introduced Parts App for online ordering of spare parts by customers has significantly improved their experience. We take great pride in our Livelink 4.0, which is being used extensively by our customers to monitor their machines’ performance, location, service requirements, operation efficiency, and safety. We have an extensive network of 65+ dealers, 700+ outlets, and 5,000+ trained service engineers for rendering customer support and service to our backhoe loaders and other products, including parts supply through our 5 strategically located warehouses.
