CHETRA Machinery India Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated in 2008 as a 100% subsidiary of Machinery & Industrial Group N.V (Russian international manufacturer of earthmoving machinery) for promoting the Russian make CHETRA brand of mining, earth-moving and pipe-laying equipment in India. The majority of its sale in India is pipe layers in which it currently enjoys 30% market share. The company collaborates with enterprises engaged in segments including oil, gas, coal and various mining industries including those in road construction. Its association with India started in 2004 when nineteen 100T side booms were sold. Since 2006, over 250 pipe layers and bulldozers were supplied successfully and commissioned in the Indian market. Elaborating his aftertime plan, he revealed that in view of the increased infrastructure develop- ment focus of the Indian government, his company has planned various initiatives including setting up an assembly unit for Pipe Layer & Dozers in India, to strengthen its sales and services network, expansion of dealership network and establishment of CHETRA Brand in the Indian market.
Giving details of the product portfolio, he said CHETRA Machinery has introduced its products including Crawler Dozers with power range 90-590 hp in the country. Chetra T11, Chetra T15, CHETRA T20 and Chetra T25 dozers models complying with directives of European Union. The certificates are issued by TUV Rheinland InterCert, an International organization. Component used in Chetra Dozers are powered with Cummins engine made in UK.
The company has introduced pipe layers with the lifting capacity of 25-104t for the pipelines with the tube diam. 200-1420 mm in India. Pipelayers have been equipped with U.K Cummins engine meeting the requirements of Euro-2 standard. A fundamentally new constructive solution on counter weight extension providing safe rigidity to the whole system of pipe laying equipment is used in the latest model.
Apart from this, he said the company also makes Wheel Loaders available with the bucket capacity 3.5 to 6.7 cu.m and operating power range 140-600 hp. On the production of these loaders, he added, during the creation of loader the task of developers was to create a products matching customer’s demands and ensuring maximum production and output at minimum cost. The loader cab fully meets ISO 3449 FOPS standards and it is fitted with special construction that meets GOST R ISO 3471 requirements.
The company is also supplying compact multi-functional utility machines which are designed for loading and handling soil, loose and lump materials, for terrain grading, snow and waste removing, transport-storehouse operations, for trenching, well boring, concrete mixing and other operations by means of corresponding changeable attachment, including soils of low loading capacity. These compact machines are used for industrial, construction, utility, road building and other applications wherever it is nearly impossible or uneconomic to use ordinary big-size equipment.
