Chennai based leading ERP service providers Micromen Software Solutions recently celebrated their 27th anniversary and the growing success of BuildSuperfast, their flagship ERP for the construction and infrastructure industry.

Micromen launched the 'next generation' version of Buildsuperfast in 2012 which included a complete technology overhaul and also hugely enhanced their solution portfolio with state-of-the-art automated Management Information System (MIS), Decision Support System (DSS) and Work Flow Management.

"The solution has an in-built industry specific process flow and a comprehensive workflow which acts as a blueprint for the ERP to ensure seamless integration between users, departments, and project sites" said Arul Selvam. G, Managing Director of Micromen Software Solutions.

This intricate integration helps to provide greater control over projects with system driven best practices in place and held together by construction industry-specific standard operating procedures" he added.

BuildSuperfast also has some more key features like User dashboards, pending work alerts with escalation matrix, dynamic on-the go approvals (through emails and sms) etc.

"As our ERP partner for over 7 years, we have transitioned to the newer solution and there has been immense efforts in migrating the processes, identifying scope for improvement from before and implementing the most efficient industry-best practices. The extended site connectivity has made all our projects online and project information is accessible to us at all times" said P KARTHIKEYAN - Director, Arun Excello Group of Companies.

Micromen currently have 50 ongoing implementations and 20 live implementations of their new-Gen Buildsuperfast. "Our organization's implementation is now more than 80% complete. Any ERP implementation is a tough task requiring full co-operation and understanding between Service provider and Client. We also had our share of difficulties, but they have been addressed by Micromen. The rollout of the ERP has been brought within schedule and well within our budget. The implementation team comprises of employees with different areas of expertise and this helps them understand our requirements better. So far, our results have been good. We have been able to observe noticeable improvement within first 3 months in the time and efficiency it takes to process transactions as an integrated entity to track our inventory, receivables and expenses easily" said Mr.Narayanan.R, CFO, Coromandel Engineering.

The company has recently begun implementation at KSV constructions a 65-year old contracting company. "We have reposed our faith in Micromen by recently signing on for their new-Gen Buildsuperfast. We scoured the market thoroughly to ensure our investment is going to reap the necessary benefit and I can confidently say that we are teaming with the industry leaders" said Ashwin Ramkumar, Director of KSV constructions.

With an established client base of over 100 builders, developers, contractors, architects, and infrastructure giants, Micromen is now looking to expand its presence and operations both pan-India and globally with branches in Mumbai and Bangalore along with channel partners in Delhi and the Middle East already established.

"The construction and infrastructure industry has seen an upsurge in technology-driven development, especially in the last few years. An increasing number of clients are looking to automate their processes and are willing to invest in an ERP as they understand the benefits they can derive from it. The feedback from our clients and the positive sentiments in the industry has encouraged us to device a growth strategy both in terms of increased presence in the market and for ground breaking research for the industry" said Arul Selvam.
