World Bank Approves USD 225 Million Rajasthan Highway Modernisation Project to Upgrade 800 km Roads

The project involves the upgradation and maintenance of around 800 km of state highways to enhance efficiency, safety and climate resilience. It also includes strengthening road safety measures to reduce accidents and improve travel reliability.
The initiative will support the transformation of the Rajasthan State Highway Authority into a modern, service-oriented highway agency.
Once implemented, the project is expected to benefit over 3 million people by improving connectivity across key economic corridors, supporting sectors such as agriculture, industry, mining and tourism, and facilitating job creation.
