Work Begins on Gopalpura–Gurhar ki Thadi Elevated Road in Jaipur

Under this plan, construction will proceed in 125-metre stretches at a time to avoid blanket traffic diversions. Parallel service lanes will be merged with the main road in each active zone, temporarily reducing overall road width by just five metres at any given time.
Currently, two pilings are under construction along the proposed elevated corridor—one between Riddhi Siddhi Circle and Kasliwal Path Crossing, and another near Triveni Tiraha on Gopalpura Bypass Road. Work on the elevated structure will commence once the piling phase is completed.
The foundation stone for the project was laid by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on September 29, and it is slated for completion within 30 months. Once finished, the elevated road is expected to significantly reduce congestion and improve urban mobility in Jaipur.
