UP unveils Rs. 512-cr infra projects
Infra projects worth Rs. 512 crore are being launched in the Bareilly area of Uttar Pradesh, said official sources, elaborating that the government has directed the concerned officials of the PWD, Bareilly Municipal Corporation (BMC), power department and water works department to launch the projects as quickly as possible. Among the main projects that are being launched included the construction of flyovers at Choupla, Quila and Satellite. In addition, other projects are related to drainage system, construction of bypass and road widening. The main proposed projects for the city are construction of Y-shaped flyover at Choupla, a parallel flyover at Quila to the existing bridge, flyover at Satellite to ease out traffic flow at national highway and four-lane bridge at Bareilly-Bisalpur road over Nakatia river. The major road-widening projects include Faridpur road via Faiznagar and Faridpur road over canal via Gausganj and the stretch from Fatehganj to Dataganj in Badaun and that the proposed bypass will come up behind a medical college in Bhojipura and from Balia Sheeshgarh to Shergarh in Baheri, they added.
