UP unveils 81-km four lanes road projects

four lanes road projects
In a bid to improve connectivity to Dudhwa National Park, the UP government has cleared an 81-km-long single-lane road from Palia town to Lakhimpur city to be converted into a four-lane road. The chief minister recently announced the project for better connectivity for tourists to Dudhwa as the state government proposed to develop Dudhwa as one of the biggest eco tourism destinations of India. The proposed four-lane road will reduce the travel time of tourists heading for the forest as those coming from Lucknow and neighboring districts will be able to return home on the same day without staying the night in the forest. The state PWD has already started inspection of the road for the proposed expansion after getting instructions from special secretary, PWD, Raj Shekhar and that the expansion of the road into four lanes between Lucknow and Lakhimpur city is already underway. With the extension of the four-lane road from Lakhimpur city to Palia via Bheera area in Kheri district travel time will further be reduced further, said official sources.
