UP infuses ₹600-cr in airport project in Ayodhya

Airport Project
The Uttar Pradesh government has fast-tracked a clutch of developmental projects in Ayodhya including a Sri Ram airport project, for which ₹600 crore has been released. The state government has up till now infused ₹1,000 crore for speeding up the project. It will acquire about 100 acres of land for the project and has signed a MoU with the Gujarat government for the technical expertise as seen in building the 183-meter tall Sardar Patel statue. It has earmarked an area for a man-made Sita Lake to come up in Ayodhya and a DPR has been submitted. Apart from this, the river channel is being re-modeled so that continuous flow of the Saryu river is ensured. All these developmental projects will be completed shortly as the agencies have already refurbished sanitary facilities including drinking water facilities, proper roads and Parikrama Marg of Ayodhya.
