UP Govt Assigns UPEIDA to Build Second Noida-Greater Noida Expressway

The proposed second expressway between Noida and Greater Noida—a six-lane elevated road from Okhla Barrage near Kalindi Kunj to the Yamuna Expressway via the Hindon-Yamuna doab—will now be executed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). The decision comes as part of the UP government's push to enhance regional connectivity ahead of the Noida International Airport’s launch later this year.
Initially, the Noida Authority had evaluated two options: an eight-lane ground-level road and a six-lane elevated corridor. The elevated route was selected for its potential to provide uninterrupted, direct access to the upcoming airport for commuters from Delhi and Faridabad, while minimizing land acquisition and traffic disruptions.
