Union Minister Announces Massive Investments in North East India

Union Minister B L Verma disclosed that the central government has already invested ₹5 lakh crore in North East India since 2014, with an additional ₹11 lakh crore earmarked for ongoing developmental projects. Verma emphasized the region's significant investment potential and noted the interest of business groups in various sectors like renewable energy, hospitality, electric vehicles, and agriculture. He highlighted the substantial infrastructural growth in the region, including investments of ₹1 lakh crore in road projects and the increase in the number of airports from 9 to 17, which has greatly improved accessibility.
