Traffic Cops Identify 18 Accident Blackspots in the City

Traffic authorities have identified 18 accident-prone spots in the city, with three new additions on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME). These locations have been flagged for the first time. Of the remaining spots, three are on NH-9, five on state highways, and seven on internal city roads.

Masuri has emerged as a significant area of concern, with multiple accident-prone locations. The three critical blackspots on DME include areas near the Udyog Kunj toll, Rasoolpur Sikroda, and the aeroplane restaurant, all situated in Masuri.

On NH-9, the identified blackspots are around Manipal Hospital in Kavi Nagar, the stretch between Sunderdeep College and Sadbhavna Cut, and near Kaushik Dhaba. The latter two spots are also in Masuri.
