Thirumala–Thrikkannapuram Road in Thiruvananthapuram Set to Open by April End

Road-Project
The Thirumala–Thrikkannapuram Road in Thiruvananthapuram is expected to be opened to the public by the end of April, providing improved connectivity and easing traffic congestion in the city’s southern suburbs.

The upgraded road serves as a key arterial link connecting the city to Vellayani Junction on the Karamana–Kaliyikkavila Highway. A major milestone has been achieved with the completion of the first layer of bituminous macadam tarring between Thrikkannapuram and Plavila near Kunnapuzha.

Work on the remaining stretch from Plavila to Puthenkada is progressing and is expected to be completed by mid-April. Once operational, the road will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time for commuters travelling between Thirumala and key junctions along the interstate highway corridor.
