Telangana takes up ₹2,518-cr road & bridge projects

In order to build trouble free road network across the state including its rural heartland, the government in Telangana has decided to invest ₹2,518 crore on building 1,875 mandal headquarters roads and will also convert them into double-lane roads. The State government has also decided to construct 511 bridges under R&B purview and 631 bridges under Panchayat Raj purview. For forest areas spread across Bhadradri Kothagudem district up to Komram Bheem Asifabad district. In the aviation sector, there is a proposal for new airports across the State seven new airports have been proposed. Currently Hyderabad, Shamshabad International Airport is available, besides one at Begumpet, Hakimpet and at Dundigal. Apart from these, the state is also revamping Warangal airport and is building airstrips at Nagarjunsagar, Peddapalli, Jakranpalli (Nizamabad), Adilabad, Addakula (Mahabubnagar) and Kothagudem areas of the state
