Telangana seeks Rs.1,410-cr for road project

Adding to the road network building process across the state, the state government in Telangana has sought the sanction of Rs.1,410 crore from the Union government to construct elevated corridors on Warangal, Bengaluru, and Vijayawada highways to decongest traffic on these stretches, said the Chief Minister, claiming that the project will ease traffic on these very congested stretches. He further added that they have sought the sanction of Rs.950 crore for the construction of a 6.40 km elevated corridor from Uppal to Ghatkesar on the Hyderabad-Warangal Highway, Rs.290 crore for a 10 km elevated corridor from Aramgarh to Shamshabad Airport on the Hyderabad Mahbubnagar-Bengaluru Highway, and Rs.170 crore for a 26 km utility corridor on the Hyderabad-Suryapet-Vijayawada route.
