The Telangana government has accorded revised administrative sanction to the work of Kaleshwaram Project Link-III Package involving an investment of ₹996.013 crore. The project involves lifting of 11.635 TMC of water in 120 days from mid Manair Reservoir at Sircilla (V) to Upper Manair Reservoir at Narmal (V), Gambhiraopet (M) and RajannaSircilla district. The approval includes tender premium subject to which the Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation), Hyderabad, is responsible for the correctness of the provisions made and quantities in the revised estimate. The Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation), Hyderabad, would ensure that necessary provision for the work is made in the budget. As per the initial revised approval, the estimate of cost of the work was ₹911.32 crore for Kaleshwaram Project Package No 09 excluding Malakpet reservoir and including vehicle pocket of size 15 mtr x 10 mtr x five mtr and packing of 300 mtr and additional woks under re-engineering.
