Bentley Systems Achieves Key U.S. Government Security Milestone to Help Modernize the Nation's Infrastructure
ProjectWise, Bentley’s connected data environment for infrastructure delivery, and OpenGround, its geotechnical information management software, are designed to support data-driven workflows across sectors such as transportation, water, defense and environmental programs.
FedRAMP is a U.S. government initiative that standardises security assessment and authorisation for cloud products. With this approval, federal agencies and their partners can deploy Bentley’s solutions in a compliant environment, enhancing collaboration, data security and project efficiency.
The company said the authorization will help agencies modernise infrastructure delivery by enabling scalable digital workflows and supporting advanced practices such as AI, digital twins, connected construction and real-time geotechnical data management.
“The FedRAMP authorization signals Bentley’s longstanding commitment to trust, compliance, and safeguarding critical infrastructure information while improving how agencies securely share and manage project data in the cloud,” said Julien Moutte, chief technology officer, Bentley Systems. “ProjectWise and OpenGround provide a trusted digital foundation for federal infrastructure programs, connecting surface and subsurface intelligence in secure cloud environments to accelerate project delivery and improve infrastructure resilience, all while meeting the highest U.S. government security standards.”
Following this authorization, sponsored by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Bentley’s ProjectWise Design Integration and OpenGround are available to support a wide range of federal infrastructure initiatives, with additional ProjectWise services to follow.
