Digital Infrastructure Providers Association Welcomes UP Broadband Panel Decisions to Boost 5G, 6G Infrastructure

Data-Center
Digital Infrastructure Providers Association has welcomed key decisions taken at the Uttar Pradesh State Broadband Committee (UP-SBC) meeting, calling them a major step toward making the state a 6G-ready digital hub.

The meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal, outlined a roadmap to strengthen seamless, affordable and high-quality digital infrastructure across Uttar Pradesh. The initiative aligns with the vision of Narendra Modi for Viksit Bharat 2047 and the state’s digital growth agenda under Yogi Adityanath.

DIPA said the decisions reflect strong collaboration between the central government, Department of Telecommunications, the Uttar Pradesh government and the digital infrastructure industry. The measures address key industry concerns such as right of way (RoW) approvals and power tariffs, which are critical for faster network rollout.

Manoj Kumar Singh, Director General of DIPA, said the reforms will unlock large-scale infrastructure investment, accelerate fiberisation and 5G deployment, and position Uttar Pradesh as a future-ready 6G ecosystem.
