In an attempt to ensure hassle-free home loan sanctioning process, State Bank of India and Tata Housing Development Company have entered into a partnership to enable easier financing and purchase of homes by the middle class. As per the terms and conditions of the agreement, initially, government employees and defence personnel having SBI salary accounts will get offers on Tata Housing Homes and they will avail SBI Home Loan for the same and the offers will later be extended to other customers. MoU for undertaking joint initiatives was signed by Managing Director of SBI, Rajnish Kumar, and MD and CEO, Tata Housing, Brotin Banerjee, said an industry insider, adding that with positive sentiments in the market and special incentives from both organizations, this collaboration is opportune and will enable more Indians in fulfilling their dream of owning a home. The agreement will facilitate the large Indian middle class to be able to realize the most important goal of owning a house. Tata Housing, which is a subsidiary of Tata Sons, is engaged in the development of properties in residential, commercial, and retail sector with a diversified portfolio of more than 70 million sq.ft. under various stages of development. Besides having projects under execution, it also has a steady pipeline of projects of over 19 million sq.ft., they claimed.
