Steeloncall India unveils Rs.200 cr warehousing

An aggregator of steel with an online platform, Steeloncall Services India has decided to invest Rs.200 crore on setting up a chain of warehouses across India and the first of the warehouses, planned near Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. The company‘s e-commerce platform has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Andhra Pradesh to set up a warehouse at Amaravati with an investment of Rs.32.68 crore. Similar warehouses have been planned and will be developed in a phased manner, said Chairman, Stelloncall, A Ravi Kumar, elaborating that e-commerce platform―its business model is based on direct delivery of steel from manufacturers and through digital market place. Along with warehouses, it also plans to set up services units. These will provide value-added services, including offering steel items to exact specifications so that it becomes easy to use them. Its online platform connects stakeholders in the steel supply-chain offering multiple brands and grades of steel, sourced from vendors and manufacturers pan India at real-time market prices, he insisted.
