SPML Infra Wins Rs 344.64 Cr Chennai 24x7 Water Supply Project Under AMRUT

SPML Infra Limited has secured a significant contract valued at Rs 344.64 crore by the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) for the “Implementation of Continuous Water Supply for Pallipatu WDS & Thiruvanmiyur WDS under Area XIII of Chennai City under Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM).” The order is awarded to the consortium comprising SPML Infra Limited, JWIL Infra Limited, and Vishnusurya Projects & Infra Private Limited.

The project aims to deliver a modern, resilient, and efficiently managed 24×7 water supply system for two key Water Distribution Stations (WDSs) in Chennai. It reinforces Tamil Nadu’s commitment to urban infrastructure development under the AMRUT scheme. The project reflects our proven excellence in executing complex water infrastructure projects and delivering sustainable long-term operations and maintenance solutions.

The water infrastructure project covers end-to-end engineering, design, and construction of continuous pressurised water supply systems for Pallipatu and Thiruvanmiyur WDS under Area XIII, along with commissioning of the upgraded network infrastructure under DBFOT norms. It aims to transform the existing intermittent supply into a continuous pressurised system and reduce non-revenue water to below 20%, with further reductions sustained during the contract period. The project is scheduled for construction completion within two years, followed by long-term operations and maintenance for 15 years after commissioning.
