The Hyderabad-based infra builder of the national repute, Gayatri Projects together with the Sojitz-led consortium comprising Sojitz Corporation, L&T, in a recent cache has secured the contract of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor project wherein Gayatri Projects is a partner. The mega project has been awarded for the designing and building Iqbalgarh-Vadodara section of the freight corridor and that in the project Gayatri project is expected to walk away with Rs 450-500-cr worth of EPC work share. It will be handling the earth work and concreting, said official sources adding that the player is pleased to be associated with such notable partners as Sjitz Corporation, a major Japanese conglomerate, and L&T, India's largest infrastructure company. Winning this prestigious project shows the management's commitment to capitalize on the growing EPC opportunities across sectors, they added.
