Signature Global launching 10,000 affordable units

The Gurgaon-based real estate developer, Signature Global Group, will launch 10,000 affordable housing units before March 2021. The builder has launched over 800 units under the Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana, a scheme by the Haryana government under which it intends to develop two lakh affordable housing units by 2022. The company has invested ₹400 crore for the project on a land parcel it acquired a year ago. Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder and Chairman, Signature Global informed that financial institutions like the HDFC Capital and KKR have supported the project. The affordable housing scheme has not been impacted by COVID-19 compared to other asset classes. The company is launching 1,700 units under the scheme and 832 units have been launched in the first phase. It is offering two sizes - 3bhk units spread across 1,081 sqft and 2 bhk spread across 951 sq ft on 100 sq mtr and 88 sq mtr plots respectively with a price tag of ₹45 to 55 lakh. It has launched around 19,200 units since last year and it will launch the targeted 30,000 affordable housing units over a period of time.
