Shri Nitin Gadkari Sanctions Rs 2,200 Cr Funds for Road Projects

Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, has announced the approval of funds for various infrastructure projects across multiple states, including Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Goa.
In Maharashtra, a total of ₹809.77 crore has been allocated for the rehabilitation and upgradation of the National Highway-63 to a two-lane road from Udgir to Degalur and Adampur Fata to Sagroli Fata. This highway serves as a crucial link connecting the border districts of Latur and Nanded in Maharashtra with Nizamabad district in Telangana.
In Andhra Pradesh, ₹400 crore has been sanctioned under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) scheme for developing 13 state roads spanning 200.06 km. Additionally, ₹98 crore has been approved for the construction of a four-lane road overbridge (ROB) on the Guntur-Nallapadu railway section in Guntur district.
In Telangana, a ₹516 crore fund has been sanctioned for the construction of a 14 km, four-lane bypass for Nalgonda Town, covering the Nakrekal to Nagarjuna Sagar section of NH-565. This project aims to decongest traffic in Nalgonda and improve road safety.
In Goa, approval has been granted for ₹557 crore for the construction of a 9.6 km, four-lane stretch between Ponda and Bhoma on NH-748, to be executed on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) basis. This project aims to complete the missing four-lane link between Khandepar and Ponda, as well as the Ribandar bypass, enhancing connectivity to major towns like Panaji and Ponda, and improving interstate access from Karnataka. It will also facilitate travel to Dabolim Airport and Mormugao Port via NH-566 and NH-66.
