The South Eastern Railway (SER) has decided to complete the stalled four-lane road stretch between BSNL office and Basanti Colony directly connecting the newly-constructed Rourkela railway station project in Odisha. Once commissioned, the road stretch will benefit the population of the area, besides decongesting vehicular traffic at the railway station's main entrance. Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), B Sahu, informed that encroachment issue is being resolved as the meeting with stakeholder was fruitful. SER is committed to extending necessary support for Smart City projects and development work of Rourkela.
