Semac Construction Limited has announced a strategic joint venture to expand its footprint in railway infrastructure development. The Board of Directors approved the partnership on January 19, 2026, marking an important step in the company’s business growth strategy.

Under the agreement, Semac Construction will form a joint venture with ALTIS Holding Corporation, a Ukraine-registered company, to jointly bid for railway infrastructure projects. The collaboration will initially focus on the redevelopment of Barauni Junction Railway Station under East Central Railways, aligning with India’s ongoing railway modernisation initiatives. The partnership positions Semac to participate in major infrastructure bids in one of the fastest-growing segments of the transport sector.
