SCCL approves mining of five open cast mine blocks
The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has approved plans for five new open cast mining projects apart from the purchase of 25 dumpers with a 60-ton capacity. N Sridhar, CMD, informed that the company board reviewed the various measures being taken in the Singareni mines to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The board also cleared proposals for the expansion of Dorley OCP and GDK-7 LEPOC in Godavarikhani, besides overburden contract for JVROC-2 in Kothagudem and KKOC project in Mandamarri. Deputy Secretaries for Coal Ministry Ajitesh Kumar, PSL Swamy from Delhi and Western Coal Fields CMD RR Mishra from Nagpur participated in the Board of Directors meeting via video conference. Special Chief Secretary for Energy Ajay Mishra along with directors of the SCCL– S Shankar, S Chandrashekhar, B Bhaskar Rao and N Balaram also attended the meet.
