Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Navratna CPSU under the Ministry of Railways, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Champion of Change’ CSR Award at the 17th CSR Leadership Summit 2026 held at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi. The award recognises RVNL’s high-impact Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and its commitment to inclusive development, community welfare and sustainable nation-building beyond its core infrastructure mandate.

The recognition highlights RVNL’s CSR work in Aspirational Districts such as Narainpur in Chhattisgarh’s remote Abujhmarh region, home to the primitive tribal Madiya community and affected by Left Wing Extremism. RVNL’s initiatives in such challenging terrains underline its focus on social inclusion alongside infrastructure growth.

The award was presented by Rusen Kumar, Founder and Managing Editor of India CSR Network, the summit organiser. Shri Anil Kumar Mahato, Coordinator (CSR), received the award on behalf of RVNL. CMD RVNL Shri Saleem Ahmad said the honour reinforces RVNL’s belief that infrastructure development must be complemented by meaningful social responsibility aligned with national priorities.
