Rs. 300 cr investment for Telangana road works

The need to sanction Rs. 300-cr has been pointed out by the Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, for providing road connectivity to people living near forest areas abutting Godavari and Pranahitha rivers and Adilabad and Karimnagar districts in Telangana.

During his meeting with Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh in Delhi, the Chief Minister submitted him a memorandum seeking the release of funds for the road works through Rural Road Plan (RRP) scheme and for cabinet approval for national highways. The road works worth Rs. 300-cr to be taken up under RRP include Kaleshwaram to Arjun Gutta, one km long bridge near Kaleshwaram, Racharla-Vemanapally, Somini-Gudem, Gudem- Babasagar and Sarapam in Khammam to Kautala in Adilabad.
