Rohtak-Gohana rail stretch gets ₹315-cr elevated track

To decongest rail traffic on the Rohtak-Gohana Rail line in Rohtak City, the Indian railways has built an elevated track to eliminate four level crossings at an investment of ₹315 crore. It aims to enhance Railway infrastructure and assist in urban decongestion as the transporter is taking a series of steps across the country for it. Northern Railways has converted the existing Rohtak-Gohana Railway line into a 4.8 km long elevated track. The work on the line is nearing completion and it will be commissioned in the next few months. The Railway line passes through the heart of the city with four-level crossings. With the commissioning of the line, Railways will be able to smoothly operate trains on this route. High-speed trains in this section will be increased. The Railways and the Government of Haryana are jointly working on the project for which the state contributed ₹225 crore.
