The Tamil Nadu government
The Tamil Nadu government fast-tracks the construction of a Rs 340 crore road project from Panjapur to Karur Bypass, aimed at decongesting traffic in Tiruchi and fortifying river banks to prevent breaches and flooding. The project, divided into three packages, features a nine-meter-wide elevated carriageway on the Tiruchi-Dindigul highway near Karumandapam. The road, spanning approximately 12 km, will connect the Tiruchi-Madurai highway's new integrated bus terminus to the Tiruchi-Karur highway along the eastern bunds of Koraiyar and Kudamuriti rivers.
