Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stones of multiple projects covering road, rail and aviation sectors in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. In Rajasthan, the PM launched construction work worth Rs. 5,000 crore, including the development of the state-of-the-art New Terminal Building at Jodhpur Airport being built at an investment of Rs 480 crore. The New Terminal Building of the airport developed in an area of about 24,000 sqm will cater to 35 lakh passengers annually, thus enhancing connectivity and boosting tourism in the region. He also laid the foundation stones of several road projects which includes four laning of Karwar to Dangiyawas Section of Jodhpur Ring Road on NH-125A; construction of seven bypasses and re-alignments of major town portions of Balotra to Sanderao section via Jalore (NH-325) and four laning of Pachpadra-Bagundi section of NH-25. Apart from this, he also flagged off two new train services – (a) Runicha Express – connecting Jaisalmer to Delhi and (b) a new heritage train connecting Marwar Junction-Khambli Ghat and dedicated two other rail projects to the nation including doubling of 145-km-long Degana-Rai Ka Bagh rail line and also 58-km-long Degana-Kuchaman City rail line. In Madhya Pradesh, the PM has laid the foundation stones of road projects including upgradation of road connecting Jharkheda- Berasia – Dhol Khaidi of NH 346; four laning of Balaghat – Gondia Section of NH 543; four laning of Khandwa bypass connecting Rudhi and Deshgaon; four laning of Temagaon to Chicholi section of NH 47; four laning of road connecting Boregaon to Shahpur; and also, four laning of road connecting Shahpur to Muktainagar. He also dedicated several road and rail projects to the nation.
