NHAI invites bids for expansion of Shirdi Ghat section on Mangaluru-Bengaluru NH

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited bids for four-laning of the Maranahalli Addahole section of the Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway 75. The project, which is estimated to cost ₹1,976 crore, is being undertaken to improve traffic flow between the two cities. In addition, the NHAI is finalizing plans for the construction of a 23 kilometer tunnel between the two cities, which is expected to cost ₹15,000 crore. The tunnel project is expected to be put out to bid in May 2023, after the finalization of the plans in April. In the meantime, repair work is being carried out on a section of the road between Sakleshpur and Maranahalli at a cost of ₹12.2 crore. The existing contractor is repairing patchwork to maintain the road in good condition.
