Nabarangpur town in Odisha gets Rs 169-cr bypass road
The Union Road Transport Ministry has allocated Rs 169.2 crore for the construction of a bypass road to Nabarangpur town on NH-26 in Odisha, under the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) model. Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, stated that the funds would be used for road construction and land acquisition for the 9.1 km long stretch, as Odisha remains a top priority for the central government. The construction of the bypass road will help ease traffic and ensure smooth mobility for daily commuters. The road will begin at Daibhata and end at Patramunda, reducing the traffic load in Nabarangpur town. The stretch from Jagannath Mandir to Ram Mandir is often crowded, leading to routine traffic snarls and road accidents. The bypass road will solve this long-pending problem and improve the overall traffic situation in the area.
