MoRTH
MoRTH has fast tracked the Pune-Bengaluru greenfield road corridor involving around ₹31,000 crore investment. On completion, it will reduce the travel distance between these two cities to 745 km from the current 840 km and travel time by four to five hours. It will be executed under the Bharatmala Pariyojna and will be the first national highway in the state to have two five km airstrips for an emergency landing and taking off the IAF fighters. There will also be separate restrooms for drivers, parks for children to play, and hotels on the side of the highway. The vehicles will be able to run at a speed of 120 km per hour. There will be four, six, and eight layers to the road with lush green trees on both sides to reduce pollution.
