Plans afoot to build ₹1,400-cr Ring Road in Indore

National Highway Authority of India has planned to develop a 55-km long Western Ring Road involving ₹1,400 crore investment. Regional Officer, NHAI, Vivek Jaiswal informed that Indore Development Authority and MPIDC respectively will make land available for the project. The road will connect NATRAX on AB Road in Pithampur to Arjun Badod village near Manglia and will pass through 46 villages, including three of Dhar and 43 of Indore district. The project will not just benefit road users and commuters, but also help MPIDC and IDA to develop their residential and commercial projects along the road. The Managing Director at MPIDC, Rohan Saxena, informed that they have 31,000 acres of land of which 325 acres will be made available for construction of 13 km road, which will be a part of the Ring Road through Pithampur, and IDA will acquire the required land for the construction of the remaining 42km long road.
