IRB wins ₹2,132-cr highway contract in Gujarat

IRB Infrastructure Developers has announced that it has been awarded a letter of award (LoA) by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the upgradation of NH-27 highway in Gujarat. The project involves the construction of a six-lane highway with paved shoulders stretching from Samakhiali to Santalpur, covering approximately 91 kms at a cost of ₹2,132 crore. The concession period for the project is 20 years, starting from the appointed date, with an additional two years for construction. The project will be executed on a build, operate, and transfer (BOT) model.

The scope of work includes the construction of six lanes on the NH-27 highway with paved shoulders from km. 339+200 to km. 430+100. The project will significantly enhance the road infrastructure in the region, making transportation more efficient and safer for commuters.
