Ganga Expressway to Drive Rs 47,000 Cr Investments with 12 Industrial Nodes in Uttar Pradesh

GangaExpressway
The Ganga Expressway is being developed as an “expressway-cum-industrial corridor,” with the Uttar Pradesh government advancing an Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster (IMLC) model to link infrastructure with industrial growth. Under the plan led by Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority, 12 industrial nodes are being set up along the 594-km corridor, with 6,507 acres identified for development. So far, 987 investment proposals have been received, targeting nearly Rs 47,000 crore.

Each node is being planned based on regional strengths to support manufacturing, warehousing and logistics. Locations from Meerut to Prayagraj have been finalised, positioning the expressway as a major economic growth belt.

The initiative has attracted strong investor interest, with proposals indicating investments of about Rs 46,660 crore across sectors such as manufacturing, logistics parks, warehousing, e-commerce supply chains and agro-processing.

The corridor is expected to improve freight movement, reduce logistics costs and enhance industrial competitiveness. It will directly connect 12 districts, including Hardoi, Unnao, Raebareli and Pratapgarh, supporting regional development, employment generation and economic activity.

The project reflects the government’s focus on integrating road infrastructure with industrial expansion to position Uttar Pradesh as a key manufacturing and logistics hub.
