Delhi CM lines up multiple elevated roads and flyover projects
The Delhi Chief Minister has announced plans for 15 new mega projects, including elevated roads and flyovers, to ease traffic congestion in the capital. The government has already constructed 27 flyovers and underpasses, with 101 currently in operation. The ongoing construction of a six-lane flyover at Punjabi Bagh and the doubling of the flyover at Sarai Kale Khan are expected to be completed by the end of the year, while work on other projects such as the Anand Vihar Road No. 56 flyover and the Savitri Cinema Nehru Place flyover are also progressing. Several other flyovers and an elevated road are also being planned. These initiatives aim to enhance connectivity and alleviate traffic congestion in the city, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and timely delivery.
