Bharat Constructions bags ₹598.99-cr road contract

Bharat Constructions has added a new project to its portfolio in the road and highway sector by emerging as the lowest bidder (L1) for the construction of a twin-tube tunnel in Jammu & Kashmir. The project, which involves an investment of ₹598.99 crore, is being undertaken by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

The scope of work for this project includes the construction of twin tube tunnels on Jammu Ring Road (NH-244A) between design Ch.50.600 to Ch.51.700 and design Ch. 53.535 to Ch.55.700 under the residual National Highways Development Project (NHDP) component of Bharatmala Pariyojna Phase-I. The project will be implemented on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) model.

This project is expected to enhance the transportation infrastructure in the region and improve connectivity. Bharat Constructions' success in winning this project is a testament to its capabilities in the construction of road and highway projects.
